For the past 2-years, I have been hosting ABIDE! Radio. Recently, we moved the show to BlogTalk Radio. After the move, we started doing the show 5 times a week. During the show, we have an open chat room. While we have a couple of faithful to stop by the chat room, the majority of the activity in the chat room is made up of "lurkers" - people who pop in to see if there is any activity, then leave. After seeing this trend, God seemed to smack me in the head to use this to try and share the Gospel with the "lurkers" - who may be in the chat room but don't necessarily access the audio of the show. So, how could I reach the "lurkers" in the 3-5 seconds they peak into the chat room? I decided that the first thing to be posted in the chat room every day is a link to http://www.NeedGod.com/, an interactive online Gospel tract by Living Waters. Of course, I've had my doubts as to how many of the "lurkers" actually click the link. It is also hard to pray for them because most of the "lurkers" ate not registered and only appear with a vague screen name like "Guest3947." However, before yesterday's show, I posted the link again and immediately had a "lurker" in the chat room. Now, not only do I not know if a "lurker" is a Christian or not, I think I can safely assume that yesterday's "lurker" does not know the Lord. I will edit out the vowels so as to not risk being flagged as an unsafe web site, but the sceen name for this "lurker" was "Pl-yb-ysFinest." And yes, the missing vowels are "a" and "o." This person was in the chat room for about 3 seconds. But that was long enough to see the link. Please pray that "Pl-yb-ysFinest" went to the link and was confronted with the Gospel.
